Free Home Energy Assessment
Want to reduce your energy bill?
Here are some energy saving programs for your home.
Save energy. Save money.
We’ve partnered with Trades Services SA as participants in the South Australian Government’s Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES). Priority Group Households may be eligible to take advantage of services like a free Home Energy Assessment under the REES.
An energy assessor provided by Your Energy Savings Solution (YESS) will come to your home by appointment. They’ll review how you use energy around the home and suggest ways you could become more energy efficient and save on your bills.
Receive practical advice for reducing energy costs without impacting your quality of life.
Your assessor will review your recent energy bills to help you understand your usage.
Get a detailed report including any findings and recommendations at the end of the assessment.
Who is eligible?
Home energy assessments are free to Priority Group Households. Priority Group Households are those where a person in the household holds one of the following current concession cards:
- Pension Concession Card
- Health Care Card, including low-income health care cards
- TPI or War Widows Gold Repatriation Health Card
- Gold Repatriation Health Card (EDA).
Alternatively, Priority Group Households are also those where a person in the household:

- Or has been referred by a registered member of the South Australian Financial Counselors Association (SAFCA).
The free assessment is available only to Priority Group Households and only one energy assessment can be undertaken at each premise. For non-priority households, residential retrofits for free energy efficient products or hot water system upgrades may be available.
